Vladimir Geshkenbein leads 302-player Day 1b at EPT Snowfest

Vladimir Geshkenbein leads 302-player Day 1b at EPT Snowfest

Tuesday, 22 March 2011

The EPT Snowfest looked to be a little disappointing this year after just 180 players walked through the door on Day 1a. Fortunately though Day 1b proved far more fruitful, largely we think because the dozens of online qualifiers didn’t have Sunday majors to grind.

In total, 302 players entered Day 1b bringing the total field to 482 with the chip leader of Day 1b being Vladimir Geshkenbein who managed to rack up a stack of over a quarter-million from his 30k starting chips. The APPT Macau High Roller champion leads the 102 survivors as Day 2 plays out today and the field is whittled closer to a €390,000 first prize.

Still in contention for the top cash is EPT Copenhagen champion Michael Tureniec, EPT San Remo champion Liv Boeree, November Niner Kevin MacPhee and perennial EPT cash-machine Luca Pagano. They will be joined by survivors from Day 1a including Alex Kravchenko and UK Day 1a chip leader Martins Adeniya.
