Viktor Koplus wins Triobet Open

Friday, 1 July 2011

Heads up sit n go specialist Viktor Koplus showed that he's just as adept at beating massive fields as he is at crushing single opponents after winning a record breaking Triobet Open in Tallinn.

The Estonian navigated his way through a European record field of 1,002 runners, the biggest simultaneously assembled for a single event, to take home the lion's share of the €44,000 prize pool as well as a package to the WSOP courtesy of tournament organisers Triobet.

Triobet Open, event organiser Veiko Krünberg, said, “The positive feedback from the players and realizing the event was an outstanding success of the event was almost overwhelming. With such a wonderful response from everyone concerned, the emotions are so strong that I don’t see any reason for Triobet to not make this large-scale project a recurring event in Estonia.”
