Veldhuis beats ElkY in kickboxing bout

Lex Veldhuis has won his long awaited kick boxing match with fellow PokerStars pro Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier. The fight, which took place in Marbella in Spain, lasted only two of the scheduled five rounds with the Dutchman winning by knockout.

The Dutchman had put in plenty of training in before the contest and was confident of success saying, “I am more athletic and I have better coordination, plus some experience in fights.” That confidence proved well placed as after a pretty even opening ElkY was sent to the canvas by a strong kick to the head in the second. The Frenchman didn't recover giving RaSZi the win.


The bout wasn't streamed live but was was recorded and should be released later this year.
