Vas Nunes Among $1k NLHE Leaders

Tuesday, 30 June 2015

Paul Vas Nunes already has Unibet Open and GUKPT titles to his name. Could the Briton be about to add as WSOP bracelet to an impressive tournament CV?

The man from Guildford heads into the final day of the latest $1k NLHE event in second place with just 26 players remaining.

Last year's GUKPT Reading Main Event winner returns with a stack of 936,000 but will have his work cut out catching leader Stephen Graner who'll return with an enormous 1,869,000 chips.

One other name familiar to readers on this side of the pond is Jude Ainsworth. The Irishman will start Tuesday's finale as one of the short stacks with 111,000. Also flying the flag for Blighty is Rob Harrison on 145,000.

After working their way through a 2,412 runner field the final day survivors have already secured a payout of at least $11,416. The final four will all pocket six figures with the eventual winner earning $399,039.
