One of the highlights of this year's London Poker Festival starts today as the Unibet Open hits Aspers Casino in Stratford.
The first of two opening flights for the €1,500 Main Event gets under way at noon today with the second following at the same time tomorrow. A bumper Main Event field is expected with the likes of Swedish footballing legend Tomas Brolin, international blogger and poker player Mikka Anttonen and former Unibet Open champions Fuat Can, Mateusz Moolhuizen, Paul Valkenburg and Peter Harkes competing for a prize pool in excess of €375,000.There's still just time to qualify on the cheap too via a £100+£10 Super Satellite at Aspers at 8pm tonight.The other event pencilled in for the opening day is a £200+£20 Heads Up at 2pm. Tomorrow will feature a £150 Ladies tournament at 7pm, a two-day £500 NL HE event at 8pm and £150 flips tournament at 10pm. A £200 Omaha bounty follows at 4pm on Saturday with a £200 Random Bounty starting at 8pm. The action is rounded off on Sunday with a sportsbook event for Unibet qualifiers and a £200 six-max event at 4pm.
