It is easy to sit at a desk and protest vehemently against the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act on blogs and via forums but now OnlineGamblingRights.com is asking disgruntled US poker players to abandon the keyboard and make their opinions known rather more vocally.
A peaceful yet demonstrative protest against the new Act has been scheduled for November 3 and 4 in Washington DC.
Debbie Richardson, who has played a large role in organising the demonstration against the ban, says over 250 people have confirmed they will be attending and that many of them said they will be bringing groups along with them.
'We think we have enough people who confirmed showing up for the event that could fill up the square behind the White House,' and that many people, Richardson explained, will get noticed by the press.
'The more people show up for the protest the more interest the press will show,' Richardson said. She also expects a large number of people to attend who have not confirmed.
