JPK Wins £200 Pokerstars UKIPT Nottingham Side Event and Kieran Appleby busts out

Saturday, 15 May 2010

In the £200 side event two time bracelet winner John-Paul Kelly won with A7 vs KT. Hitting an ace on the flop he was soon out of danger and scooped the £11,400 prize money, claiming, "This is much better then winning two bracelets." In the main event though short stack Kieran Appleby is KO'd by Owen Robinsonn (blinds 10K - 20K, ante 2K).

Kieran Appleby shoved all in with TJ pre-flop and was called by Owen holding AJ. Kieran missed hit a lucky draw or T and he was out in 15th place.

I've just heard that David Swan has sung his swan song. Charlton bet out with 80K, Aldridge called on the button, and David Swan moved all in from the BB for 250K. Charlton folded but Aldridge called. Swan turned over 77, Aldridge KT. The board:

T 8 8 K Q

Two pair more then enough to put us down to 14 players.
