Adam Small finishes in 25th place , testifying to the pressure to find an edge as the tournament rolls on.

Now that we have reached the business end of the tournament the importance of picking your spots correctly has become painfully obvious to some of the players. Adam , who was playing in his first UKIPT event, had played good solid poker , playing the right hands at the right times and picking good spots to steal raises, blinds and antes. As he testified to however "the tables just got harder and harder , it was impossible to find a spot that someone else hadnt already got to". Adam decided to draw a line under the sand by 3 betting with 8 6 suited with half his stack only to be put all in. He had to fold. He then pushed all in with AQ only to find Owen Robinson had AA. This saw his exit. As Adam will tell you , making a stand , while necessary , can be a dangerous business at this stage of the tournament. it can really knock you out.
