Ainsworth hopes to change UKIPT luck

Ainsworth hopes to change UKIPT luck

Friday, 20 August 2010

Ainsworth has been , quietly , but effeciently , squirrelling away chips in order to make it to the second day tomorrow.

Ainsworth has had an uneventful day so far , playing small pots from which he has gradually built up a stack to 40,000 chips , just above the average. He describes his play so far as "ABC" poker; raising where appropiate and taking pots either completed uncontested or on the flop. He feels that his reputation is a key contributory factor that allows him to do this. "The badge gets alot of respect" he explains , "people seem to think they can pick better spots when I get invovled". This should see him to the second day tomorrow , changing what he sees as "some run of luck" in the UKIPT events this year. "I've had full houses counterfeited , all sorts of pairs cracked and straights and flushes being outdrawn". If players keep showing the respect he has been shown so far , "too much" as he admits himself , then surely that luck is going to change.
