11 players remain as short stacks are wheedled out

Saturday, 21 August 2010

The last hour or so has seen the smaller stacks dissapear.

The 2nd day is reaching it's conclusion as the smaller stacks have been knocked out. There was only 1 larger stack casualty to speak of , Joe Whittaker , who got crippled as the small blind/large blind dynamic raised it's ugly head again. Joe was playing with Jake Cody at the time , both limped and the flop came down 822. After a check raise and a re-raise they got it all in , Whittaker showing 8 6 , Cody J 8. No split which left Whittaker crippled.

Sam Fleet leads the field at the moment , with almost a million chips. The chip lead , as should be expected , has ebbed and flowed during the day and there is no doubt that this will be the case again tomorrow , or indeed for the small time that remains today.
