Silver escapes elimination, Burland doubles up

Silver escapes elimination, Burland doubles up

Tuesday, 5 October 2010

Well with blinds at nearly 2,000/4,000 and an average stack of 90,000 or so we're seeing a lot of chips flying around the table at the UKIPT Champion of Champions televised tournament.

The first bit of notable action came when Padraig Parkinson made it 7,500 to go from the button and Max Silver, our resident Postman Pat lookalike, moved all in from the big blind. After a bit of banter, Padraig elected to fold and Silver got a decent boost to his dwindling stack.

The next hand, we saw a pre-flop raise and a call before the chips went in on a K-8-J rainbow board. Femi Fakinle held Q-T for the open ended straight draw and Black Belt pro Jamie Burdland produced A-K, which held up to double him and take a chunk from our chip leader.

With the average stack at about 23BBs expect to see plenty more cards on their backs action from the felt.
