David Vamplew is the Champion of Champions!

David Vamplew is, as he half-sang to himself as the final card fell on the river, "running gooooooo-oooh-ooood." Last night he defeated John Juanda heads-up for the EPT London title and £900,000. Tonight he is the UKIPT Champion of Champions.

In the final hand he got it all in with A-Q against the K-T of Jamie Burland. The ace high flop seemed pretty conclusive but Jamie's ten of diamonds made a four-flush on the turn...

But that was it. A blank river sealed the deal and secured David Vamplew free entry to UKIPT Season 2 - not that the jammy sod needs it after his £900,000 victory last night.
