UKIPT Day 2 - Kimber Timbered

The bubble has burst...

The bubble has burst in horrendous circumstances. With hand-for-hand in progress, Stefan Hjorthall's push for 23,300 was called by Michael Hill, while on the adjacent Table 2, Jeff Kimber - who had been whittling away all day - was all-in for 32,900 against Julian Hasse.

Hjorthall's tinted shades couldn't hide his trepidation, while Kimber looked relatively relaxed, but then again, he did have pocket Aces in front of him.

Hjorthall and Hill headbutted with a pair of Queens apiece, while Jeff's Aces were up against a tame looking 54o.

The Queens cancelled themselves out, but the flop on Table 2 came Kd5d4s to anguished-yet-delighted cries from the assembled throng, and with the turn and river bringing a 6c and 8c respectively, the man from the north east was scuttled.
