Treading water.

With blinds set at a titanic 3,000/6,000/500a, Silent Irina Liepina has
finally crept above the 200k average with 240,000 chips. Also unusually quiet is Raaj Soekhan, who exuberance has subsided somewhat with his dwindling amount to play with, which stands at 60k.

He's flanked by Reg Rowan and Mark Suddes, who are both desperately treading water with 45k. Julian Hasse has started going backwards slightly, but still has 240k in his arsenal, while beardy Chris Brammer is consructing what looks like a cartoon power station with his frankly ludicrous amount of chips which must be approaching something like infinity.

Back to footie gossip, a certain Wes Brown is playing in the Man United cash game, and I've got a story about him that I think it's only fair to share.

Back in around 1990/'91, we were playing on opposite school teams, and we both went for a high ball in the centre circle. Being born with something of the Corinthian spirit inside me, I leapt fairly. He, however, sprung into the air with his foot outstretched, his studs connecting with my tenderest region with such a force that it somersaulted me over in mid-air, landing me on my back and eliciting an almighty "oooooooh" from the handful of parents on the sideline.

Naturally, I hobbled away in floods of tears, and I'll be demanding a full and frank apology this evening. I'll let you know how I get on.
