Heads up.
All is quiet in the arena, with nothing but the most minor of skirmishes
taking part in the early knockings. Carrying on with yesterday's pensive
footballers theme, Teddy Sheringham is looking equally irked and stressed
backed against the wall on Table 20.
Out attention must again turn to the sartorial foibles of our competitors,
with at least two gentlemen wearing flat caps. Now, I have no problem with
flat caps, per se, but surely they need to be worn by men of a certain age who have earned their stripes in life, earned the honour of wearing such a garment through years of toil by working in rough-handed manual jobs. Either that or being a toff.
These young pretenders wouldn't be seen dead with a pint of bitter and a
scraggly dog by their heel, and such titfer abuse should put to an end. It's the tip of an iceberg.
