UKIPT Day 1b - An Aggressive Scandinavian

UKIPT Day 1b - An Aggressive Scandinavian

Friday, 12 February 2010

Hoisted on his own petard.

BREAKING NEWS! Nick Wealthall has just ordered a cheese and ham sandwich.
Fact.

Other than that, the promised carnage has now started in earnest. The runner up to Padraig Parkinson in the UKIPT's inaugural event a couple of months ago in, Galway, Paul Marrow, has hit the dirt. Or more likely, the bar.

No details, alas, because Table 21 also erupted simultaneously. A standard raise from early position was 3-bet by Andrew Peters, only for one of our flat caps, Stefan Hansen to ramp the action up by a further 2,500. The initial raiser got out of the way, while Peters flatted after some considerable thought.

He checked the rainbow A-T-3 flop. Hansen carried on his aggression, though, ramming his remaining 8,375 into play, only to be called by AKo after a short dwell. He had KQo, by the way.

"What did you slow roll me for?" the scythed scandi demanded, "What were you thinking about? It was an obvious call" before huffing haughtily away,
completely oblivious to himself.
