UKIPT Day 1a - Jammy Dodgers

Jammy dodgers.
Rupinder Bedi is definitely, defiantly at the top of the tree at the end of Day 1a after a bizarre hand against the other largest stack at his table. With blinds at 800/1600/200a, he met a raise beefy from early position by shoving from the big blind to the tune of 90,000. He was called in a flash by his nameless opponent, he had Aces after all, with Bedi sheepishly turning over pocket sixes. An errant six on the turn turned history on its head, and propelled "George" to in excess of 180,000 chips.
Another jammy dodger is a certain Mr. Philip Conneller, whose tournament life was hanging by a thread when he ran his Jacks into Aces, but he was saved when a third knave (if we're being archaic) bounced onto the board much to our esteemed Editor's delight, and will bring him back on Saturday with 42,000.
The day has finally drawn to a close. Nighty night.
