UKIPT Day 1a - Break

UKIPT Day 1a - Break

Thursday, 11 February 2010

The aforementioned Mark James has been scythed down

His executioner, Jerome Bradpiece has built a tidy 30k fortress of chips. James Wilson on Table 5 is also up among the early leaders at the first break, while to his immediate left, Grahame Monaghan can barely tear himself away from his newspaper.
Table 6 has been frenetic, with stacks varying between leaning towers of the smaller denominations and mere litter sitting dolefully in front of their possesors, thanks in no small part to quads being hit a remarkable five times in two hours.
The room is flooded with Pokerstars.com qualifiers (206 of them over the
weekend), most of them fresh-faced enough to be ID'd for buying 10p mixups, and all of them given a quick tutorial pre-tournament along with a Vicky Coren book.
We're just revving up for Level 3, 75/150, and we have lost a total of four brave souls who will have to brave the bracing Mancunian winds on their way home.
