UKIPT Nottingham is one for the record books. 629 (!) runners took to the tables at Dusk Till Dawn on day 1C, taking the total field to an enormous 1,223, creating a guarantee busting prize pool of £1,223,000.

Equities trader Ben Miller leads the charge for the £218,300 first prize. The 24-year-old started the day as an alternate and had to wait until the middle of the afternoon until he finally made his bow. Miller didn't mess about when he did finally take his seat and by the close had built up a stack of 264,200.

Joining Miller near the top of the day 1c leader board were UKIPT virgin Jordan Cousins (234,900), double champion Joeri Zandvliet (205,400) and Jonathan Peacock (184,000).

Further back were the likes of PokerStars pro Fatima Moreira de Melo (124,700), Karl Mahrenholz (50,900) and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott (50,000).

Chris Moneymaker fired a second bullet on day 1c but finished the day on the rail. Joining him there were a host of top names including Liv Boeree, Roberto Romanello, Alex Goulder, Tom Hall and Craig McCorkell.
