UKIPT Nottingham Day 1a sees 532 players enter

Thursday, 12 April 2012

The PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour rolled into Nottingham again, traditionally its most successful venue. The Dusk Till Dawn club accommodated 532 players on Day 1a with two more opening days to come.

Leading the way after 11 hours of play is Marcin Milde, on 278,700. He leads a field of 100 Day 1a survivors into Day 2 on Saturday. Notable names who made it through Day 1a include Marc Goodwin, Mickey Wernick, Pieter de Korver and Martin Jorgensen.

Day 1b today expects a similar field, with Day 1c set to be the hugest of all. PokerStars has tentatively predicted the possibility of a 1,700-strong field and a £220,000 first prize from the busted £1 million guarantee.
