UK poker players are certainly making their mark in Las Vegas but those not lucky enough to be in Sin City will be locking horns in the not quite so glamorous location of Newcastle.
The latest leg of the PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) gets under way at Aspers Casino later today with the first of two opening day flights starting at 2pm today. The sixth annual edition of Grosvenor Casinos’ Goliath tournament series may have begun last week but players are being advised that there is still time to qualify for seats into its prestigious £120 buy-in main event.
