The appalling weather conditions have meant that the opening leg of the new PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour has been put back a day.
The season opener in Galway was supposed to start this afternoon but organisers have confirmed that it will now commence at noon on Friday. Registered players who do manage to make it to the west of Ireland can still get some tournament action in though. PokerStars is putting on a €10,000 freeroll at 4pm today as a gesture of goodwill.
