The PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) hits Scotland today with the £560 Main Event kicking off this afternoon at The Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
In total there are 20 tournaments being played out from a £55 Turbo NL event up to the £1,620 High Roller event with the £560 Main Event the crowning jewel.Last year, 401 players put up the dough and it was Nicholas Risk who claimed what would be one of two UKIPT titles in his career, taking home £50,000 after defeating Mantas Puidokas heads-up.This year, the event is capped at 700 players and clashes with the Edinburgh Festival, so it will be interesting to see what that does to the turnout.Even if you can’t make it to UKIPT Edinburgh, PokerStars have you covered for future events. If you fancy a game in Dublin next time, for example, why not qualify via PokerStars for as little as a fiver?Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
