UKIPT Day 1a - KABOOOOOM!

UKIPT Day 1a - KABOOOOOM!

Thursday, 11 February 2010

To slow play, or not slow play. That is the question.

World Cup Guy (real name Gerald David) is our new chip leader after knocking out The Man Who Cannot Be Named For Work Reasons. Great hand, actually.

WCG raised in early position to 1,200 (blinds 200/400/5oa) only to be 3-bet to 4,000 by the player to his immediate left. TMWCBNFWR flatted, and WCG completed the action. On a flop of Qc-Jc-8c, the 3-bettor lead out for 5k but got shoved on TWICE.

The Man Who Cannot Be Named turned over Aces, while World Cup Guy showed an Ace-high flush, hitting a straight flush when the straight flush when the 10c came on the turn. KABOOOOOOM!

Incidentally, the miniature World Cup turns out to be a skull...not a very detailed one from a short distance, but a skull nonetheless.
