UFC announcer Bruce Buffer wins Hustler poker tournament

UFC announcer Bruce Buffer wins Hustler poker tournament
Thursday, 29 July 2010

You know him as the guy who shouts in a really cool way before two huge men roll around cuddling on the floor for fifteen minutes (that’s what UFC is, right?) but Bluff Europe blogger Matt Perry informs us he first knew of Bruce Buffer after Phil Gordon’s Final Table Poker DVD, in which he starred.

Buffer has now replicated the results of that fictional tournament in real life by winning Larry Flynt’s Grand Slam of Poker at the Hustler. Buffer won $75,000 for his efforts and celebrated with a near-incomprehensible Tweet:
“Took It Down n Won “1st Place” 4 plenty of $Cashola$ It’s 5:30 am, I’m happy n headin home”

Buffer has recently opened his own poker room at the Luxor, Las Vegas. Recently he competed in the $10,000 Main Event and finished 478th for a prize of $27,519.
