UB bad beat jackpot tops the $1,000,000 milestone

Tuesday, 1 March 2011

When is bad luck not bad luck? Answer – when your quads running into a royal flush can net you a six-figure slice of UB’s staggering million dollar Bad Beat Jackpot. The BBJ passed the million dollar milestone yesterday and shows no signs of slowing down.

“It’s an insane amount of money with our Bad Beat Jackpot hitting a million bucks, and a few people are going to make a lot of money in an instant. It’s getting to the point where there just isn’t anything sensible to say about our Bad Beat Jackpot,” Joe Sebok said. “We are pumped to be in this position, to set this record, and to make some of our players very, very happy.”

Of this million dollars, $250,000 will roll over for the next jackpot and UB will take $100,000. Of the remaining funds, the loser of the hand – in which quad eights or better is beaten with both players using both holecards – will win $325,000 with the winner of the hand netting over $150,000. The rest of the players at the table receive $1,000 and the rest of the players at UB playing the same stakes receive a share of the money.
Now THAT is a jackpot.
