The big names will be out in force for next month's UK Poker Championship and as far as UK poker is concerned, they don't come much bigger than Sam Trickett.

Series organiser Sky Poker has confirmed that the largest winner in British poker history will be heading to Dusk Till Dawn for the £500,000 guaranteed Main Event.

“We’re thrilled that Sam has confirmed his participation in the Sky Poker UK Poker Championships”, said Head of Sky Poker, Richard Milner. “It will be a dream for a lot of players to come face-to-face with one of the brightest poker talents in the world, and I am sure Sam himself will be keen to be crowned the first ever UK Poker Champion.”

The series runs from 17-23 February with the massive Main Event getting under way on Wednesday 19 February. In addition to the biggie there is plenty of quality side action planned including a £150,000 Guaranteed High Roller as well as Pot Limit Omaha and Six-Max No Limit Hold’em events. The full schedule can be found at Sky Poker's UK Poker Championship Page.

As befits a Sky Poker event there will be plenty of opportunities for recreational players to take a shot at a huge score. Online qualifiers are currently up and running with buy-ins starting from just £1.30.

Now's a great time to give the recently revamped Sky Poker a try as new players can enjoy a free £20! Sign up at SkyPoker.com.
