Trickett, Busquet, Akery final table EPT London High Roller

Thursday, 6 October 2011

The 75-strong field for the £20,000 High Roller event at the EPT London has been whittled down to a final table of eight after WSOPE incumbent champion James Bord busted in ninth place at the unofficial final table. Leading the way is Igor Kurganov with 854,000 chips.

He is joined by a quality field at the final eight, with Sam Trickett; Rob Akery; Michael Tureniec and Olivier Busquet to keep him company and try to prevent him from sealing that £500,000 first prize. Also in contention is young German pro Philipp Gruissem, who you will remember from his EPT side event final tables and a deep run in this year’s WSOP Main Event giving him over $600k in live tournament cashes.

High stakes heads-up SnG specialist Olivier “livb112” Busquet is our shout to take it down, having drawn a decent seat for the final with position on smaller stacks. We won’t put anything past Sam Trickett though. Here’s how they line up:

Seat 1 - Adrian Bussman, 518,000
Seat 2 - Igor Kurganov, 854,000
Seat 3 - Rob Akery, 622,000
Seat 4 - Sam Trickett, 354,000
Seat 5 - Joel Nordkvist, 365,000
Seat 6 - Philipp Gruissem, 311,000
Seat 7 - Olivier Busquet, 471,000
Seat 8 - Michael Tureneic, 268,000
