Trevallion Tops Aussie Millions $25k

Sunday, 25 January 2015

Australian unknown Alex Trevallion was the toast of Melbourne over the weekend after taking down the $25,000 challenge event at the Aussie Millions.

The high roller circuit appears to be in rude health with a bumper field of 104 entrants buying-in at the Crown including a host of big names.

None could match Trevallion though. Usually found plying his trade in big online cash games the home favourite showed his tournament props after topping a loaded final table. The last nine included the likes of Connor Drinan, Steve O'Dwyer, Britain's Stephen Chidwick and this month's Bluff Europe interviewee Pratyush Buddiga.

The Aussie youngster agreed a chop with German high roller reg Tobias Reinkemeier before going on to win the title and with it a massive first prize of $645,150. That haul is all the more impressive given that his live scores prior to this weekend totaled just $12,500.
