Tournament Directors from around the world will be descending on Las Vegas’ Venetian Resort on 20 February 2007 for the Poker Tournament Directors Association’s third annual summit.
“The 2007 meeting will truly be an event,” said celebrity tournament director Matt Savage. “If you are a tournament director or card room manager who is interested in continuing the efforts of the TDA, it’s not to be missed.”
The Poker Tournament Directors Association was founded in 2001 with the aim of adopting basic rules and procedures to improve the poker industry, inviting tournament directors, players, and media to discuss and review proposed rules.
There are currently 38 official published rules to standardise tournament rules, but getting consensus on those, commented Savage, was no mean feat.
“We ask that you come to the summit with an open mind and the ability to compromise so that we can come to an agreement for the good of the industry,” said Savage.
The 2007 summit requires interested parties to become a TDA member before they can participate though membership is free and available via the TDA website.
Further information, including details of a tourney to be held in the evening, are also available on the TDA website.
