PartyPoker.com has announced that the line up for this year’s World Open V will include Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan, Luke ‘Fullflush’ Schwartz and Mike Sexton. The event, which takes place from Sunday 11th October to Thursday 15th October at Mayfair’s Palm Beach Casino, will see a field of 48 runners compete for a first prize of $250,000.

PartyPoker.com’s newly sponsored grassroots team of Ian Frazer, Bobo Sbrzesny, Remy Biechel and Felipe Ramos will be in attendance as will November Nine player James Akenhead, Phil Laak, Neil Channing, Liam Flood and defending World Open champion Marty Smith.

In a change from previous World Opens the starting stacks have been tripled and heats will feature eight rather than six players.

Eddie Hearn, Director of Matchroom Sport said: “Poker players have been crying out for a deeper stack TV tournament and now they've got their wish. With such a strong structure we will be hand-picking a dream line-up for the PartyPoker.com World Open V. We are also delighted to announce that it will be held at the Palm Beach Casino in the heart of Mayfair. With the change in structure and this amazing venue, the players are in for a real treat - now it's over to them to show the world just what they can do."

Heats will feature an online partypoker.com qualifier. Satellites are currently running with packages worth $13,000 on offer. For full details see partypoker.com/news/items/world_open2009.
