This Friday, December 8, will see an A-list celebrity crowd descend upon Hollywood’s Hard Rock Seminole Casino to play a few hands for good causes.
Amongst the celebs reportedly playing at the first annual Andy Roddick Texas Hold ‘Em Charity Tournament are Paris and Nikki Hilton, Mandy Moore, Andre Agassi, Alex Rodriguez, and Barry Sanders.
The stars will be upping the proverbial ante in aid of the Andy Roddick Foundation (ARF) which aims to improve quality of life and enhance educational and economic opportunities for children, based on the principles of respect for family, education, and morality.
Interested poker players who can’t afford to shell out $1,000 for the VIP treatment can witness the action through the Xbox “Live Vision Cam,” which will apparently be stationed in the VIP room. Additionally, they can challenge the tennis star himself to a game of poker over Xbox Live as part of the latest Xbox Live Game with Fame session.
Fans who want to go all in with Roddick in Activision’s World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions for Xbox 360 should be on the lookout for the Xbox Live gamertag “AndyGWF” one hour before the party kicks off on Friday, December 8 from 17:30 to 18:30 EST.
