Tony G bosses PartyPoker Big Game

Tony G bosses PartyPoker Big Game

Tuesday, 19 April 2011

Motormouth Tony G was the big winner at PartyPoker's Big Game V cash marathon this weekend at Nottingham's Dusk Till Dawn. The PartyPoker pro ended the 49-hour session (they sneaked an extra hour onto the schedule) up by over £150,000.

The loudmouth Aussie's game winning performance was helped after he took down the biggest pot of his poker career when his aces held up against Martins Adeniya's AK and Rob Yong's pocket queens.

The other big winner in the £25/£50 cash game was Bluff Europe columnist Jennifer Tilly who showed a profit of £66,925. Others in the black included double WSOP bracelet winner JP Kelly up £27,775, talkative Texan Robert Williamson III who was up £26,350 and triple crown winner Roland De Wolfe who ended the contest £25,675 to the good.

Dusk Till Dawn's Rob Yong may have been a fine host but he also ended up as the game's big loser, dropping £50,000. Keith Johnson was down £35,000 with Mike Matusow and Sam Trickett losing £29,350 and £23,700 respectively. Neil Channing also had a bad couple of days ending down just over £21,000. Recent EPT and WPT winner Roberto Romanello was down £15,000 but after his recent tournament success he can certainly afford it.
