Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan Loses Full Tilt Sponsorship

Tuesday, 17 December 2013

Rumours were rife amongst fans after Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan’s picture was recently removed from the Full Tilt Poker website, and it has since been confirmed that his contract will not be renewed.

“Full Tilt Poker and Tom Dwan have agreed to part ways following the recent expiration of Dwan’s contract,” said a spokesperson from Full Tilt Poker.

Dwan may have been one of the biggest faces representing the brand, but for many this news will not be a surprise. The former nosebleed champion has for a while been absent from the online world, instead preferring to take his chances in the notoriously super-high stakes cash games in Macau. He also has come under fire for violating the conditions of his long-running challenge against Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates.

The news comes just months after opinionated pro Daniel Negreanu attacked Dwan for his unprofessionalism, saying "If you're a sponsored player and you get paid then you better do those things or you are disrespecting your organization and the game. If you aren't prepared to do that then don't wear the patch."

Whether he will be replaced as yet remains to be seen.
