Three poker players lose over $26,000 – to customs

Note to all poker players: when you’re crossing international borders, don’t lie to the US border guards.

Michael and Sean Ruane as well as their cousin Thomas Freeman had over $26,000 confiscated when leaving the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

The brothers had signed a waiver stating that they were carrying no more than $10,000 between them despite having almost that amount on them per person.

Sean Ruane probably needs to work on his poker face as authorities noticed him nervous and sweating, which caused them to search the family.

All of the money was confiscated but they were not sentenced due to no prior arrests.
