Tuesday, 11 October 2011

Englishman Thomas Partridge has been crowned champion of Scotland after winning the Scottish Poker Championships Main Event at Edinburgh's Gala Maybury Casino on Sunday.

Partridge, who won the Baltic Poker Festival in Tallinn in 2009 for €76,750, outlasted a field of 83 runners in the Scottish capital. The former politics student then navigated his way through a final table that included 2010 UKIPT Nottingham runner up Oliver Schaffman, John McNeill and Brian Taylor before beating Alex Fergsuon (no, not that one) heads up.
