The $5,200 Main Event of the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker reflected the whole 62-event series – a big guarantee and a bigger field with a gigantic first prize. The $8.14m prize pool created by 1,627 entrants in the Main Event boosted the total WCOOP prize pool to more than $45m across 62 events.

The Main Event saw Danish player Thomas 'Kallllle' Pedersen take it down, winning a tidy $1,260,018.50 in the process. While dwarfed by last year’s $2.3m first prize, the seven figures awarded to Kallllle won’t be sniffed at. He beat Vojita_R heads-up to claim the monster prize.

With that, WCOOP is over for another year. Former tennis pro Joel '2FLY2TILT' Gordon has been named Player of the Series as well as Big_Nemo, both accruing 295 points over the course of the series. 2FLY2TILT won the Triple Stud event and made two other final tables while Big_Nemo tookl down the $320 Stud as well as making numerous other cashes. Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu sneaks into the top three on the leaderboard also.
