Thomas Besnier wins GUKPT Coventry

Frenchman Thomas Besnier outlasted a field of 84 runners to win the £300 Main Event at the latest GUKPT Summer Series tournament in Coventry. The sports agent from Tours near Paris picked up a first prize of £8,200 plus a seat in the GUKPT Champion of Champions Event.

33-year-old Besnier beat GUKPT debutant Mark Deacon from Leicester heads-up. After a two-hour battle, Besnier emerged victorious hitting a straight to seal the win.
