Theo Jorgensen leads Grand Prix de Paris final table

Theo Jorgensen leads Grand Prix de Paris final table

Thursday, 13 May 2010

After four days, over 200 players have been narrowed down to just eight with Danish pro Theo Jorgensen leading the pack by quite some margin.

He had maintained a healthy stack of 800,000 – 1,100,000 throughout the six hours it took to burst the final table bubble but on the preliminary final (ten-handed) table he really got some momentum going.

Ilan Boujeneh had 4-bet bluffed for most of his stack with Ah-9h and Jorgensen put his stack in with JJ. No aces or hearts helped his opponent and the WSOPE PLO champion’s stack soared to over 2.7m.

The full final table seats and chip counts are as follows:

Seat 1: Mickael Guenni -- 538,000
Seat 2: Theo Jorgensen -- 2,693,000
Seat 3: Antoine Amourette -- 489,000
Seat 4: Per Linde -- 584,000
Seat 5: Jimmy Ostensson -- 436,000
Seat 6: Nourredine Aïtaleb -- 810,000
Seat 7: Fabrice Touil -- 1,183,000
Seat 8: Arnaud Mattern -- 678,000

The final table begins on Saturday as well as the €20,000 high roller. Each player at the final table is guaranteed €70,000 with a massive €633,092 being awarded to the winner. Who will probably be Danish.
