The strange case of Phil Ivey and the London casino

Monday, 8 October 2012

Phil Ivey is no stranger to walking away from a casino with millions, either from poker, sports betting of table games. The 35-year-old enjoyed another big score six weeks ago according to a report in the Daily Mail, but is yet to be awarded the money.

Ivey, who was accompanied by an unnamed Asian woman, allegedly won £7.3m playing Punto Banco at Crockfords in Mayfair, betting up to £150,000 per hand.

Last night a spokesman for Crockfords told the paper, ‘As a private club we put great store on the confidentiality of the relationship between ourselves and our client and we therefore have no comment to make.’
