The WPT National UK Tour is Back

The WPT National UK Tour is Back

Friday, 6 December 2013

After a successful kick-off in October, the five-stop partypoker WPT National UK Tour is gearing up for its second leg. This will take place on the 19th to the 22nd of December, and will be held at the newly-opened Aspers Casino MK in Milton Keynes.

Like the London tournament, the festival’s main event will have a distinctive Accumulator Format, based on Event 1 of the Aussie Millions. Players have the choice to buy into one, two or even all three of the Day 1 Flights. It is named ‘Accumulator’ because by playing more than one Flight you are given the chance to amass more chips – all chips from each Flight are combined to give the player their total starting stack for Day 2.

The format went down a storm in London, shattering records with 510 entrants and a £91,800 prize pool. Victory went to 37-year-old fund manager John Ventre, who took the £20,250 top prize. “I really like the Accumulator structure,” said Ventre. “It rewards people willing to commit more time to the Day 1 Flights.”

As well as the main event, other festival highlights to look out for are the £110 WPTN Experience (7pm, 21st December), the £80 WPTN 8 Max Bounty (2pm, 22nd December) and the £55 WPTN Turbo Charged Deepstack (6pm, 22nd December).

Online qualifiers are up and running now on partypoker with daily seats guaranteed – so what are you waiting for? For more information including details on free entries see here.
