The Poker Show returns this week

The Poker Show returns this week

Tuesday, 29 June 2010

The Poker Show with Jesse May is back on air this week with a new sponsor and raft of guests and promotions. The bi-weekly shows are made in association with the PartyPoker Blog and will air every Wednesday and Sunday starting from tomorrow with Kara Scott and Mike Sexton the opening interviewees.

Anyone who has ever listened to The Poker Show before will know that its mixture of highly irreverent poker banter and top notch guests makes for an entertaining hour and host Jesse May is hoping to keep it that way.

The Voice of Poker said, “I'm very excited about the new format. The last three seasons have been trial and error but I think we have cracked the formula. The key words are big names and fast paced - the strength of the show has always been all the great contacts we have in the poker world but now we think we are coming to something that the listeners will love hearing rather than just the people we interview.”

Audience participation has always been a central plank of The Poker Show and this season is no different. There will be exclusive $5+$1 tournaments every Thursday and Monday following the first eight shows with the winner of each going into a special freeroll on Sunday 1st August when a WPT London seat worth $5,000 can be won.

After tomorrow's opening episode the show will relocate to Las Vegas for a number of WSOP specials up to and including 25th July. After a short summer break the programme will resume its twice weekly schedule from 29th August, just before the WPT London Poker Classic and WSOPE really get into full swing.

Each episode will be available to download from iTunes.
