The Poker Channel to televise the finale of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure

Wednesday, 13 January 2010

The Poker Channel is giving poker fans even more of an incentive to dodge the snow and stay indoors by scheduling a mammoth 20-hours of live poker over the next few days.

The action starts at 9pm tonight with live coverage of the World Cup Of Poker at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Teams from the USA, Germany, Canada, Italy, Finland, Norway, Croatia, Taiwan and Chile will slug it out for the title.

Coverage of the final table of the $25,000 buy-in High Roller event kicks off at 9pm tomorrow. Dario Minieri leads the way, followed by Michiel Brummelhuis and Vivek Rajkumar.

Chris White, MD of The Poker Channel said, “We’re delighted to bring live poker back to the Poker Channel with some of the most prestigious events in the poker calendar. We were the first channel to show a full live poker event on TV - the British Poker Open – back in 2005. We know our European viewers want more live TV coverage so we’re working with world-class production teams and sponsors to offer this on a regular basis.”

Viewers in the UK and Ireland can watch The Poker Channel on Sky Channel 166 or on Freesat channel 402.
