The Poker Channel to show High Stakes Poker

Saturday, 6 November 2010

Yesterday we brought you news that filming of the new season of High Stakes Poker had been delayed. If you still need a fix of monster pots, jaw dropping bluffs and some top quality table talk then The Poker Channel is the place to visit as it has just reached agreement with the Game Show Network to show old episodes.

The deal will see The Poker Channel televise seasons 2, 3 and 4 throughout Europe (including the UK and Ireland) with episodes also available online a day after they have been broadcast.

“High Stakes Poker is arguably the most popular poker show of all - and deserves a permanent place in our prime time schedule in all 30 countries,” said Poker Channel managing director Chris White.

“We’re delighted to expand our distribution and reach this agreement with GSN so many more viewers can watch it on TV for the first time. The appetite to watch and learn poker continues to grow around the world and High Stakes Poker is at the heart of this.”

The Poker Channel is available in the UK on Sky Channel 166 with the first episode of High Stakes Poker airing on Sunday 7th November at 10pm.
