The International Poker School coaching clinic starts tomorrow

Friday, 11 September 2009

The new International Poker School (TIPS) makes its debut tomorrow with a coaching clinic at The Village Hotel in London. TIPS hopes to help players improve their game through a series of lectures and tutorials and by playing against some of the UK’s best pros.

The lessons will cover position, hand selection, focus and preparation, tells and tournament strategy. Students will also get the chance to quiz the instructors who will include Paul “Action Jack” Jackson, Julian “YoYo” Thew, Marc “Mr. Cool” Goodwin, Nikhil Persaud, Carlo Citrone, Liv Boeree and Paul Zimbler. They will then have the chance to put what they’ve learnt into practice in a series of sit n go tournaments where the top two players will win a seat in the £1,000 buy in event at the WSOPE. Any player who manages to knock out a pro will receive an online cash bonus plus a small prize (and a chance to brag to their friends of course).

The cost of the course, which will be held at The Village Hotel, Centennial Avenue, Centennial Park, Elstree WD6 3SB, is £325 including food and refreshments. Numbers are capped at 50 so booking in advance is a must.
