Leading online poker room PartyPoker.com has announced that its Poker Den: The Big Game II 24-hour cash game is set to be played next Monday and broadcast on television next year.
The Gibraltar-licensed site said that the game is being organised by Matchroom Sport and would feature a minimum buy-in of $10,000 with blinds starting at $25 or $50 and players free to come and go from the table as they please.
Phil Hellmuth had a bleak time at the inaugural Poker Den but announced plans to return for Poker Den II. Others also expected to participate should include Tony G, Roland De Wolfe, Dave ‘The Devilfish’ Ulliot, Liz ‘The Poker Diva’ Lieu, Ian Frazer, Roy Brindley, Ian Woodley, Nikolaus Jedlicka, Phil Curtis, Dave Gregory, Neil Channing and Dan Carter with more names still being added.
“Last time there were fireworks and we don’t expect anything different this time around,” said a Spokesperson for PartyPoker.com.
“We are just worried that we’ll find a room big enough to accommodate their egos. Wembley Stadium wasn’t available so we had to settle for something smaller.”
