Taylor von Kriegenbergh wins WPT Seminole for over $1.1m

The World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown in Florida has concluded with Taylor von Kriegenbergh taking home the top prize after defeating a final table including Allen Bari and Tommy Vedes. The overall field was 406 which meant a prize pool of over $4m.

In the end it was down to von Kriegenbergh to battle it out for the title and the difference between six and seven figures in prize money with only Curt Kohlberg between him and the title. After von Kriegenbergh had eliminated Justin Zaki in third place he held a monstrous 6-1 chip lead beginning heads-up play.

Patiently, he waited for the opportunity before moving all-in with Qc-8d and running into As-Tc. Unfortunately for Kohlberg the flop bought his opponent a queen and the river one more, giving von Kriegenbergh a full house to win the first televised WPT tournament in Florida.

The full final table payouts were as follows:

1.Taylor von Kriegenbergh $1,122,340
2.Curt Kohlberg $586,109
3.Justin Zaki $415,680
4.Abbey Daniels $286,819
5.Allen Bari $211,997
6.Tommy Vedes $166,272
