Taylor Von Kriegenbergh leads WPT Seminole

Saturday, 30 April 2011

With a name that sounds like that of a minor central European royal Taylor Von Kriegenbergh wouldn't have looked out of place at yesterday's nuptials at Westminster Abbey. The American has more important things on his mind at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown event in Florida though and by the close of Day 3 he had grabbed the chip lead.

Von Kriegenbergh 1,080,000 and Abbey Daniels 1,016,500 will both return with seven-figure stacks, more than double that of Justin Zaki in third place who has 461,000 and fourth-placed Tommy Vedes on 446,500. Other notables still in contention include long time chip leader Todd Terry on 410,00, Noah Schwartz on 361,500, Blair Hinkle 228,500 and Mr WPT Mike Sexton 192,000.

Six of the remaining players will leave the Hard Rock disappointed as the money bubble will burst at 45. Those that do cash are guaranteed at least $22,862 with the top seven finishers taking home a six figure score. The winner will walk away $1,122,340.

The action resumes at 5pm today UK time with blinds at 3,000/6,000 with an ante of 1,000.
