In the first poker site merger to be announced after the approval of an online gambling prohibition bill in the US, Tribeca Table Europe has announced that it has joined the Tain Poker Network.
The merger means that Tain Poker customers will now play on Tribeca’s platform, which boasts more than 60 poker sites, including Doyle’s Room, PaddyPowerPoker, and GoldenPalacePoker. Tain will continue to develop sportsbook software independently of Tribeca.
Erik Ahlberg, CEO of the Tain Poker Network thinks the decision will improve the customer experience. 'This manifests a natural next step in our effort of building a world class poker offering,” he said, “and we will now be able to welcome our customers into one of the strongest networks in the world, positioned to lead the coming phase of consolidation.'
Steve Cook, European MD for Tribeca Tables said that the deal would allow the company to better reach the lucrative Scandinavian market. “Signing with Tain has allowed Tribeca to take a firm foot hold in these countries,” said Cook. “We are very pleased to complete a significant deal with Tain.'
