Sweden victorious in Palm Beach Big Game

Thursday, 7 June 2012

Despite the WSOP luring away plenty of top British talent there was still a healthy field on hand for the latest leg of the Palm Beach Big Game which took place earlier this week. English football fans will be hoping the result wasn't an omen for the forthcoming Euro 2012 group though as Sweden ended up on top.

The Sweden in question was Craig Sweden who outlasted a 46-runner field in the £1,000 event. Sweden, who made the money in last year's WSOP Main Event, was involved in a three-way chop with Mike Paul Ellis and Phillip Long and took £12,88 for his efforts.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1st Craig Sweden £12,880
2nd Mike Paul Ellis £10,000
3rd Phillip Long £12,000
4th Ian Woodley £4,600
5th James Murphy £3,220
6th Raj Kumar £2,300
7th Necmettin Cicekli £1,000

The next £1,000+£80 Palm Beach Big Game takes place on Monday 2nd July. Qualify online at Genting Poker.
